The Problem

Baroda Kisan is a web and mobile-based app that gives farmers high-quality pertinent information in three major Indian languages. Most importantly, Baroda Kisan gives farmers real-time information about how much their crops will fetch them at various markets throughout the country

Indian farmers often do not have easy access to high-quality, real-time data about weather and market (mandi) prices for their crops. With the proliferation of network and data infrastructure, more farmers have smartphones to access the internet but it can be difficult to find reliable sources in one’s language
